Best restaurant in Stowe as long as you like great vibes, amazing food, and an ambiance with plenty of open air/sun room/outdoor seating and live music.

What an overall amazing place. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and promptly sat at a table. The poutine was a fantastic starter to share with the great cocktails. But the steak!! 10/10 cooked perfectly with amazing flavor!!(just wish it had a bit more of the potatoe puree)Our server Corey was super attentive and gave great recommendations. And our last surprise was the desert!! The sticky toffee pudding was superb! If I am in the area again, I will definitely be coming back!

This was an excellent experience for my husband and I. We came to Stowe for our anniversary and chose Grants last minute for dinner based on the good reviews - the reviews were absolutely right! Our waiter wished us happy anniversary and gave us champagne on the house as we arrived. The food was amazing - we had the tuna tataki, veal, and creme brulee for dessert. The food was only made better by the acoustic live music. We will absolutely visit again if we get the chance.

Beautiful restaurant in a historic location with great warm and modern ambiance created by vast space and big windows.
Food exceptional. We tried the delicious sweet potato soup with a tad of smoke, scrumptious shrimp and grits with mushrooms, apple and radicchio salad seasoned to perfection and dessert.

I have to say, I was a bit disappointed by the maple crusted crème brûlée as it was too thick of a crust but the wrong consistency and too thin of a layer of crème.
Hugo sprits and maple old fashioned paired dinner well!
What a treat!

The food was excellent and it was such a cute little spot in Stowe. We sat by the river and it was such a nice view with lights on the trees and the covered bridge. Very good service from our waiter Dave as well as the other waitstaff, busboys, and hostesses. The food was perfect and filling and the rosemary pear mocktail was great.

We have a fantastic meal. My wife started off with the muscles appetizer, and I had the artichoke heart fried with a aïoli sauce. They were both delicious. My wife had the scallops with a side of risotto with the asparagus, and I had a filet mignon medium rare with the side of asparagus With carrots, mashed potatoes, pistachio crusted, sweet carrots. It was very delicious. I had a vodka martini Tito and my wife had some Cabernet Savignon California with dinner and she ended dinner with a peanut butter chocolate moose cheesecake what she ate before I could take a picture dinner was excellent, the cocktails were good and the staff was very efficient. Kudos to our waitress thank you thank you Mariah.

Grant’s

Grant’s is named in honor of Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th President of the United States. Our 35-foot antique mahogany bar was originally built in Harlem and found near Grant’s tomb. It was rescued, restored, and brought to Stowe in 2003 by local craftsmen. Look closely and you’ll spot cigar burns that hint at its storied past.

Reservations are not required but are recommended particularly during busy seasons. For groups of 10 or more, please call or complete the following form.
