Grant’s is looking for an energetic, reliable Busser/Food Runner to join our front-of-house team! This is an important role in keeping service running smoothly and helping create the welcoming, polished dining experience our guests have come to expect.
As a Busser/Food Runner, you’ll work closely with our servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen team to keep the dining room clean, organized, and moving efficiently. You’ll help deliver food from the kitchen, clear and reset tables, refill water, maintain service areas, and jump in wherever your team needs you.
There is also potential to pick up hosting shifts, giving you the opportunity to learn another side of the restaurant and earn tips in both roles. And if you’re interested in events, there may be opportunities to help with weddings and private events at The Stowe Village Inn—from setup and service to helping create some really memorable celebrations!
Previous restaurant experience is helpful, but a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are just as important.
What You’ll Do
- Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and efficiently throughout service
- Run food from the kitchen to guests’ tables accurately and promptly
- Assist servers with water service and other guest needs
- Maintain clean and organized dining rooms, service stations, and kitchen entry areas
- Help keep the restaurant stocked, organized, and ready for service
- Communicate with servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to keep service running smoothly
- Support the team wherever needed during busy periods
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for every guest
What We’re Looking For
- Weekday availability! 1 – 5 shifts available.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong communication and awareness of your surroundings
- Ability to move quickly and stay organized in a busy restaurant
- Reliable and dependable work ethic
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Attention to detail and pride in keeping the restaurant clean and organized
- Ability to work well as part of a team
